Solid Blockboard Core Doors

Solid Blockboard Core Doors

Nordex manufactures Solid Blockboard Core doors.
Blockboard is made up from kiln dried timber strips laminated together to form a solid panel which is then sheeted to both faces with specified door skins (Enduraboard, MDF, Plywood).
These can have a decorative face veneer or HPL face if required.
To minimize the problem with show-through, Nordex uses 6mm thick door skins and employs a cold press system when pressing the skins to the blockboard core. This is done to minimize the disturbance of the moisture content in the timber, compared to when a hot press process is employed.
Standard thicknesses are 35mm, 40mm and 44mm

Nordex stock the following blanks in 35mm & 40mm;

  • 2100 x 900 & 1200mm
  • 2400 x 900 & 1200mm
  • 2700 x 900 & 1200mm
